"A Night with Nature for a Noteworthy Cause" concert featuring
world flutes, smooth jazz, harp guitar, and bluegrass.

A wide variety of musical styles and instruments will waft throughEstero Community Park in a concert featuring Kat Epple, Andy Wahlberg, and The McIltrot Brothers to benefit CREW (Corkscrew Regional Ecosystem Watershed).
March 29 from 6 to 9 PM at the Amphitheater in Estero Community Park on Corkscrew Road in Estero Florida. Tickets are $20 (children 12 and under free) and can be purchased at the gate or in advance by calling Brenda Brooks at 239-657-2253 or email crewtrust@earthlink.net.
Bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, coolers and drinks (no alcohol, glass or pets please).
The evening's featured musicians come from varied backgrounds and styles:
Kat Epple, eight-time Emmy Award-winning and Grammy nominated composer and flautist,has performed at the Guggenheim Museums, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the National Gallery, has released 18 CDs of original music, and composes and produces music for television, including "National Geographic", "Nova", and "Guiding Light". She also travels throughout the world, collecting flutes from other cultures which she features in her original compositions and CD releases. Her music has been described as celestial, yet earthy, primeval, and innovative. Kat will be performing with her band which will include DL Turner, Harpist, Chuck Grinnell, keyboardist, and other surprise guest musicians. www.katepple.com
Andy Wahlberg is a harp guitarist whose music ranges from comedic parodies to eclectic instrumentals. Andy's musical career has spanned over 35 years, more than 3000 concerts and performances nationwide, 6 albums and hundreds of television and radio appearances. Andy has performed on stage with groups such as Chicago, Spyra Gyra, Firefall, Hall and Oates, Don McLean and the Spinners. In his own recording studio he has created soundtracks and scores for numerous television, radio and movie projects. His most recent works include the soundtrack for the PBS Special Florida's Historic Lighthouses and the motion pictures "Captiva" and "Jericho".
The McIltrot Brothers have been playing traditional bluegrass music in and around Fort Myers for over 30 years. For 20 years the band was known as City Limits, with Fonna Lawhon on bass. Bill, Tom, Dennis and John are joined by Tom's sons Ryan and Kevin for this concert to benefit the CREW Trust. The musicians from this popular southwest Florida band are re-uniting especially for this concert. The band's sound is influenced by the high-energy, hard-driving American roots music of Bill Monroe, Flatt & Scruggs, and The Stanley Brothers.

This annual event is notorious for being an evening full of unique music, art, fun, and surprises. Kat will be playing flutes from around the world, including Celtic, Native American, African, Suling, bass flute, and will be performing with special guest musicians and performers, including: Chuck Grinnell, keyboardist, DL Turner, harpist, Lawrence Voytek, sound sculpture, and surprise guests: drummers, guitarist, bassist, didjeridoo, dancers, and more to be announced.
This fundraiser for Florida Repertory Theatre, is on Monday, May 12th, 2008 at 7pm at the Arcade Theatre, 2267 First St, downtown Fort Myers, FL

"The Hottest Art Happening of the New Year"
"Peace and Flambé: An Art Happening". Historic downtown Fort Myers will be an innovative "hot spot" as this unique event, filled with art, music, live performances and surprises, will showcase works by three world-renowned artists, sculptor/live performance artist, Lawrence Voytek, painter/digital artist Michael St. Amand and musician Kat Epple, who are at the vanguard of their respective media. These three long-time friends will be premiering new artworks, re-visiting some of their classic pieces, and are collaboratively creating a transitory celebration of art, peace, and volatility.
This homage to the art "Happenings" of the 1960s is a fundraiser for The Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center and is sponsored by Space 39 Modern and Contemporary Gallery.
